JAILTIME So it looks like both Scooter Libby and Rep. William Jefferson (D-LA) will be heading off to jail--one sooner, one later.

Unless Libby gets a pardon. Unless Jefferson beats his charges. But neither of those seems especially likely to me--at least at the moment.

Isn't it telling, though, that the Republican response to the conviction of a Republican is to call for a pardon, while the response to the indictment of a Democrat is to try to expel him from the House?

Even when both happen during the same week?
