BROWNIE POINTS I can't fathom why, but the organs of the elite media have mostly soft-pedaled the Mike-Brown-is-utterly-unqualified angle of the unfolding Katrina story.

But Kate Hale, former Miami-Dade emergency management chief isn't pulling any punches:

"[Brown has] done a hell of a job, because I'm not aware of any Arabian horses being killed in this storm."
